Why is it that when you are working hard, doing your thing as a local artist, folks brush you to the side like you’re not that dude / dudette. As soon as an outside entity with larger reach acknowledges said hard work, all of a sudden local supporters become believers too when it was in front of them the whole time? Hmmm…Thought I would ask the question to the non-believers and also acknowledge the day one believers. As artists the acknowledgement goes a long way. Music is a tough field to navigate as it is. Many of my peers, myself included have contemplated walking away until the powers that be throws a lifeline to keep us going. Moral of the story is SUPPORT YOUR FAVOURITE ARTISTS!!
